Nottingham Hockey Centre

Scottish Masters Hockey (SMH) have named their mens and womens squads due to take part in the Masters World Cup in Nottingham between August 12 and August 21 this year.

The W35, W40, M35 and M40 teams will be amongst 49 teams competing on the world stage at Nottingham Hockey Centre in Beeston.

The M35s have been drawn in Pool B alongside familiar opponents Wales and Ireland, with Germany and Argentina completing the line up. Meanwhile, the M40s will have a busy time of it, facing Spain, Argentina, USA, Italy, Australia and Malaysia in Pool B in their competition.

In the women’s competition the W35s are in Pool A alongside England, India, Argentina, Wales and France whilst the W40s will take on England, Germany, USA, Ghana and Sri Lanka in Pool B.

SMH President Jacky Burnett said: “Congratulations to everyone who was selected for the World Cup. We wish our players, their managers, coaches and support teams all the best in what I’m sure will be a fantastic tournament.”
