SWMH has enjoyed its most successful series of trials, with an average of 140 players turning up each trial date across all teams. Players have travelled from far and wide – from Shetland and the south of England – and everywhere in between to take part.

SWMH’s Jacky Burnett said: “Thanks to everyone who made the effort to come along to our trials. It can be daunting to put yourself forward but I hope that it was an overall positive experience for everyone. The wealth of talent on show for all agegroups has given the selection committee a headache, but that is a good position to be in. It goes to show the desire at all age levels that people have to play for Scotland at this level.”
